Our Story
Formed 19 years ago in 2004, by the ten parishes that comprise the Pontiac Vicariate of the Detroit Archdiocese. The P.A.V. decided to respond to several factors:
FAITH ~ FRIENDSHIP ~ SERVICE Faith - that blesses C.C.R.T. every day. Friendships- that bolster our work. Service - that we are able to provide because of our 100+ volunteers. "You see the basic inequity,” said Barbara. “It’s about sharing the wealth that’s around Pontiac. It’s about living out the Gospel values of faith, friendship and service.” |
Our MissionCatholic Community Response Team provides direct support and referral services to those whose basic needs are not met. We do it in a manner inspired by the Gospel of Jesus.
Provide a Christian compassionate response to those in need primarily within, but not limited to, the City of Pontiac. Provide intake services and assessments based on client needs to build a relationship in order to overcome small hurdles which hinder self-sustainability. Coordinate our efforts with other community agencies and providers to make the best use of available resources and to provide appropriate referrals to broaden the scope of our response.

"Building Tomorrow's Heritage"
We are excited to invite you to be a part of a remarkable event - the 20th Anniversary Hearts Aglow Celebration by Catholic Community Response Team. This event aims to celebrate two decades of dedicated service to our community, providing support and assistance to those living in poverty.
About Us: Catholic Community Response Team is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Pontiac. We are committed to making a difference in the lives of individuals and families struggling with poverty by providing direct services and support for unmet emergency basic living needs.
Event Details: Thursday, May 2, 2024, Doors Open at: 5:30PM.
Location: The Lafayette Grande Banquet Facility, 1 Lafayette St., Pontiac MI 48342
The evening promises to be a memorable one, filled with:
• Inspiring stories of our journey and the lives we have touched.
• Recognition of our dedicated volunteers, donors, and partners who have played a vital role in our success.
• Live entertainment, live auctions and 50/50 raffles.
