2023 Back to School Uniform & Backpack Program
Yesterday, Wednesday, September 6th the Back-to-School Uniform & Backpack giveaway event surpassed our own expectations! Celebrating TEN years of the FREE event and helping this year eighty parents and over two hundred Pontiac students with school essentials!
Our incredible team of volunteers embraced a new idea for distributing the school essentials. This year, the event was held at United Wholesale Mortgage Sports Complex instead of CCRT’s office location. The spacious meeting room at UWM-Sports Complex was transformed into a store for parents to shop from 9:30am to 2:30pm. Families shopped for their children’s new school clothing, new backpacks, slightly used uniforms, and school supplies. It was a fully packed room when the doors opened, and the event touched the hearts of everyone in there!

2021 Back to School Uniform Program
The power of community was at work in this years program, serving over 200 students! Each student enrolled in our program received two sets of new uniforms and gently used uniforms packed with love in a school backpack. The number of generous individuals that came together to help with this special program was heartfelt! The B-T-S Uniform Program was beyond successful this year because of people who care about others in our community. We thank you all!

What a SUPER DAY at the "Back to School" Event 2020! Thank you everyone for your time, talent and for the generous donations! You really made a difference for the children in our Pontiac community. As you can see, the children were SUPER happy! Our volunteers were SUPER- hero happy too! Thanks to you, our client’s children have a brand-new uniform and school supplies to help with their remote learning. With your help, we have provided an outfit and school supplies for 140 kids today!
